Apple Federal Credit Union A brand built on personal service makes its website deliver it
Apple Federal Credit Union has been member-owned since 1956 and serves Northern Virginia through 23 branches. It describes personalized service as the heart of its difference. Finalytics brings that to the website, across 3.7 million sessions.

The challenge
Apple’s brand rests on service fitted to each person’s situation. In a branch, people who know the member deliver it.
On the website, where most member interactions now happen, every visitor saw the same experience, whatever they owned, searched for or came to do. Apple needed the site to recognize each visitor’s situation and respond to it.
The approach
Behavior, read during the session
The platform does not wait for a sign-in or a form. The platform reads the pages a visitor moves through and the products they stay on, and infers intent while the visit is still under way.
Signals in combination
No single signal tells the whole story. What a visitor searched for, the page they are on, the products they own, where they came from and whether it is a first visit are read together, and the experience is chosen from the combination.
Targeting that keeps improving
Continuous optimization sharpened the targeting over a period of 20 months.
Measured against peers
Apple’s numbers are compared with a benchmark of credit unions on the same platform, not only with its own history.
The results
Across the full relationship, personalized sessions converted at more than double the rate of the standard experience, and 62% of all sessions were personalized.
